Who can apply

The award is for enrolled students who can publish a short original piece about using Vizcept. We read the application and the published URL. We do not ask for homework answers.

You can apply if

  • You are enrolled in computer science, software engineering, human-computer interaction, or a data-related field.
  • You apply with a school email address.
  • You will publish either a product review of Vizcept or a how-to about using Vizcept for academic figures.
  • The published piece includes a clickable link to https://vizcept.com.

This award is not for

  • K-12 students.
  • Homework answers, assignment help, or coursework done for someone else.
  • Personal inboxes such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or QQ.
  • A plain-text URL that is not a clickable link, or a piece that does not link to vizcept.com.

How to participate

Topic, then apply, then publish the URL, then review, then the award. The address of this page stays /scholarship when the term changes.

  1. 1

    Pick a topic

Write a product review of Vizcept, or a how-to that uses Vizcept to make academic figures (for example a framework, a flow diagram, or a syntax tree). One line on the form is enough to name the topic.

  2. 2

    Apply

Submit your name, school, major, degree level, school email, article type, and that one-line topic before the apply deadline. Consent to republish on the Vizcept blog is optional. First place includes a bylined republish only if you consent.

  3. 3

    Publish the URL

Publish the piece where a reviewer can open it. The piece must include a clickable link to https://vizcept.com. A mention without a link does not qualify.

  4. 4

    Send the article URL

After the piece is public, submit the article URL and the platform name. Match it to your application with the application id or the same school email, before the article deadline.

  5. 5

    Review and award

Vizcept reviews entries by hand. Statuses move from submitted, to approved outline when we accept the topic, to submitted URL when the link is in, then to awarded or rejected. Awards are sent offline.

Not combined with other academic offers

This award cannot be held together with the Academic Support Program or the education discount during the same period. If you already receive either of those, do not apply here for that period. If you receive this award, you are not eligible for those benefits over the same period. Those programs are separate; this page does not change how they work.
