About Vizcept, the academic figure tool

• Vizcept is an AI tool for academic figures, available at vizcept.com in English, Chinese and Spanish.
• You describe a figure, list your variables or type a sentence, and Vizcept returns a PNG (2K, or 4K on paid plans) or an SVG.
• It has 16 figure tools, including a conceptual framework generator, a PRISMA flow diagram generator and a syntax tree generator.
• Syntax trees, sentence diagrams and conceptual frameworks are normally typeset by code from a language model's analysis. The other figure types are drawn by an image model and should be proofread — see how Vizcept draws figures.
• Every figure can be revised in the Studio, which keeps each version.

For: graduate students writing theses and dissertations; researchers preparing papers, posters and grant applications; students and instructors in syntax and linguistics courses.

Not for: classroom clip art for schools, where better free options exist; photorealistic illustration; and images that stand for experimental data, such as western blots or micrographs. Publishers prohibit AI-generated data images, and so do our terms.

• Your first figure is free without an account, and new accounts get 5 more credits, valid for 30 days.
• A 2K figure costs 5 credits. A 4K figure costs 8 credits and needs a paid plan or a valid credit pack.
• Subscriptions start at $14.90 a month (300 credits, about 60 figures at 2K), or $106.80 a year charged once.
• Credit packs: 150, 450 or 1,200 credits for $19.90, $39.90 or $99.90. They are one-time payments, last 365 days and never renew.
• Free downloads are watermarked previews. Paid plans and valid credit packs download the full-resolution file and SVG.
• Verified students get 40% off and teachers 20% off subscriptions for 12 months with an education discount.

• Credit: the unit Vizcept charges in. One 2K figure uses 5 credits; one 4K figure uses 8.
• 2K and 4K: the two output resolutions. 4K is available on paid plans and with credit packs.
• Drawn with code: the structure comes from a language model's analysis and the figure is typeset by Vizcept's own code. Today that covers syntax trees and sentence diagrams and conceptual frameworks typed as text; sketches and Chinese, Japanese or Korean text still go to the image model.
• Studio: the workspace where each figure and every revision is kept as a version.
• Watermarked preview: the free download, with a visible watermark.
